Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding is received annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This CDBG program funds public service agencies and infrastructure projects that serve low and moderate-income city residents who are U.S. Citizens or documented immigrants. Infrastructure Projects
Include, but are not limited to:
- ADA Improvements
- Building Rehabilitation
- Transportation improvements
This application process starts in November or early December each year.
Public Services
Eligible public service activities include, but are not limited to, those concerned with:
- Childcare
- Crime prevention
- Drug abuse
- Education
- Employment
- Energy conservation
- Fair housing counseling
- Health
- Recreational needs
This application process starts in November or early December each even-numbered year.
To receive an LOI your agency must be on our mailing list. Funding may be used for labor, supplies, and materials. To apply for a CDBG Infrastructure or a Public Services Grant, a Letter of Intent (LOI) must be submitted to the City of Las Cruces to determine eligibility.
