Meet The Mayor

Mayor Eric Enriquez is the first new Mayor the City of Las Cruces has had since 2008.

He was elected in November 2023 and began service as Mayor January 1, 2024.

Prior to his role as Mayor, Enriquez served the City of Las Cruces as an Assistant City Manager and Fire Chief before his retirement from the municipality.

The City of Las Cruces is a home-rule city governed by its charter and has a council-manager form of government. The City Council is the city’s governing body with the Mayor as its presiding officer.

Council Meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month for regular Meetings, and the 2nd and 4th Mondays for Work Sessions.
