The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department, Keep Las Cruces Beautiful Program (KLCB), is partnering with Keep Doña Ana County Beautiful, Town of Mesilla, SCSWA, and NMDOT to put out open top trash containers which will be available for use at the below locations from 8:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, October 12.

Household trash roll off container locations:

  • Valley View Park, 750 S. Espina St.
  • 674 N. Motel Blvd./Westway Ave. (Near the intersection)
  • Tony Gomez Park, 2283 S. Espina St.
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave.
  • Apodaca Park, 801 E. Madrid Ave.
  • Henry R. Benavidez Center, 1045 McClure Rd.
  • Young Park, 850 S. Walnut St.
  • East Mesa Recreation Center, 5589 Porter Dr.
  • Radium Spring Community Center, 12060 Lindbeck Rd.
  • Thorpe Road and Dusty Lane in the Village of Doña Ana (Empty lot on the corner)
  • Mesilla Town Hall, 2231 Avenida de Mesilla

Locations will be monitored. Residents must unload their items. Roll-offs will be available until full.

Items NOT allowed in a Trash Solid Waste Container are:

No Medical Waste (per section 20.9.8.8 NMAC of the New Mexico Environmental Protection regulations)

  • Hot ashes/coals
  • Tires or any vehicle parts (including car batteries)
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Large yard waste items (stumps or trunks)
  • Concrete, bricks, and or rocks
  • Toxic, combustible or hazardous materials
  • Any construction or remodeling material
  • Refrigerators (anything with refrigerant)
  • Animal Carcasses
