The City of Las Cruces’ Parks and Recreation Department offers a Paint by Numbers class once a month through December 2024.

The Paint by Numbers class is held at the East Mesa Recreation Center, 5589 Porter Dr., from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The first class, originally planned for Oct. 23, has now been rescheduled for Oct. 30. The classes will be held:

  • Oct. 30
  • Nov. 20
  • Dec. 18

A pre-numbered canvas will be provided with a themed painting for each month. Supplies are provided for $20 per person, per class.

Registration begins Oct. 16, 2024, for all three classes and can be completed online or during regular business hours at:

  • Parks and Recreation Administrative Building, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.
  • Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave., from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The Paint by Numbers program is for ages 13 and older. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
