The City’s Parks and Recreation Department is offering Mommy and Me classes beginning Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center.

The classes are designed to create a nurturing and engaging environment where parents and children can bond through arts and crafts. Each session includes all materials and offers children a chance to explore their creativity while strengthening their connection with a parent or guardian.

Classes will be held twice a month and are divided by age group:

  • Ages 6–10: Thursdays, 4 to 5 p.m., beginning May 29
  • Ages 0–5: Fridays, 4 to 5 p.m., beginning May 30

The cost is $5 per child and guardian pair, with an additional $1 fee for each additional child.

Registration is available online. In-person registration is also available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave.

Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.

For more information contact the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center at 575-541-2454, TTY 711.
