Group ukulele lessons in the Roadrunner Room. 7 donated ukuleles have been provided by Las Cruces Ukes for patrons to borrow, but juniors with ukuleles are welcome to join. Registration is required to use a ukulele. Chord books and song books will be provided. For ages 7 to 18 with caregivers for younger children.
Explore the 3.5-billion-year odyssey of life with a geologist and real fossil specimens. Visit the station in the gallery and discover something new in the fossil record each month. All ages are welcome.
Kids and their adult caregivers will be introduced to the Mesoamerican history of the origin of chocolate. This will include a cocoa tasting. Participants will create a painting to express what they learned during the class. This program is inspired by the Flowering of Precious Knowledge exhibit and presented in English and Spanish.
