DESCRIPTION:The fourth featured group in our twelve-week focused exhibit run is the Piro-Manso-Tiwa Indian Tribe\, whose exhibit will be displayed from July 18 to October 10\, 2026. The Piro-Manso-Tiwa Indian Tribe (PMT) has a long history in the Borderland region\, arriving in 1680 after the Spanish forced numerous Indigenous groups south after the Pueblo Revolt.

SUMMARY:PHMSA Grant - Gas Pipeline Rehabilitation Project Public Input Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Through state representatives and City Council\, the City of Las Cruces Utilities Department (LCU) has obtained a federal grant\, utilizing Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) funding to upgrade existing gas pipelines. LCU\, together with the City Public Works Department and HDR Engineering\, has finalized the design of the gas pipeline rehabilitation and the project went out to bid on May 5\, 2026. A-Mountain Construction has been selected as the contractor. \n\n\n\nA neighborhood public input meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday\, October 8\, 2026\, at City Hall\, Rooms 2007B and 2007C located at 700 N. Main St. The meeting will begin with introductions and continue on project design\, cost\, and schedule information. There will also be discussions of neighborhood impacts due to construction.
