The East Mesa Bataan Memorial Pool, located at 6141 Reynolds Drive, will not open as planned for Memorial Day weekend due to necessary repairs.

City staff are working diligently with contractors to complete the repairs and ensure the pool can safely reopen later this summer. An official opening date will be announced when it is available.

The City of Las Cruces apologizes for the inconvenience, and the public is encouraged to visit the City’s other aquatic facilities during the closure:

Laabs Pool, 701 W. Picacho Ave.
Two open swim sessions will be offered Tuesday through Sunday, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The pool will be closed Mondays. The facility opens Saturday, May 24.

Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave.
Two open swim sessions are available from noon to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The facility will be open daily beginning Saturday, May 24.

Las Cruces Natatorium, 1405 E. Hadley Ave.
Lap swim will be available from 6 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday. The facility will be closed Sundays. No reservations are required.

The Parks & Recreation Department thanks the public for its understanding during the closure.
